Cerebral sparks

sparks in my mind unleashed online

I remember that the choice was mine,
completely.

It was a life without days and nights,
crazy as one could be.

The lights are gone now,
The splendour worn out.

I lost the battle,
in the feud of when and how.

My heart beats slower, my chest pounds faster
the pain cuts in, sometimes unnoticed.

De-sensitized and fierce, I fight on,
In pursuit of hope and a new dawn.

Do you remember when I was very young?
How I shone, how I played?

I wonder if I have a choice yet,
And I wish to choose time.
